If the update is offered through the main interface of MyDeluxeInvoices&Estimates, then yes, your data should transfer automatically, but it's always recommended to simply create a backup of the data before attempting an upgrade.
Also, since the MyDeluxeInvoices&Estimates is a commercial application, it makes it impossible for me to test multiple versions of the software.
You should ask for information from the developers in case something goes bad.
I need to change the font in return address field. My company name is too large and in bold and have had to use an acronym but I have clients that need the entire name and it's quite long. The font changer does not allow me to just change that line. Is there any way to do that?

This type of applications use templates for the invoices and standard labels which means you will have to modify the template in order to use the desired font.
I've searched the web for additional information related to template modification, but there isn't anything available which means that you will have to get in touch with the developers and submit a ticket on the corresponding support board.
The software doesn't appear to be available anymore, which means it's impossible to say if the files will be available in the new version, but as long as the based file format is the same, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to transfer them, since they have the same base version (e.g 4.x). Open the software, then go to File > Open and locate the older files.

Use the following link to open a tick and ask how to modify the labels, invoices, templates, etc: http://support.avanquest.com/support/tickets/new
